Like many of you, we are getting creative these days. We teamed-up with Green Home Solutions and Seattle-area interior designer and stager, Cayetana San Segundo to come up with some DIY activities to help you get your home ready for sale once we get to the other side of this quarantine. This is a good time to address those projects you’ve been meaning to get done!
Kitchens are the most renovated room in the house. Countertops and cabinets turn over more often any other household fixtures. This ends up sending a lot of good material to the landfill or to the salvage store.
Using green finishes was important to us because our office shares walls with apartments with families in a mixed-use building. Even if the cost is marginally higher, we want to make sure our choices are considerate of those around us, good for workers, and does no harm to the environment.
This backyard cottage showcase will include the work of over 35 local architects and designers who are combining good design with livability and sustainability. You will have the opportunity to view all design challenge entries, meet the designers, participate in the awards ceremony, and enjoy food & drink.

Method Homes and Infiniti RED are joining forces to promote public awareness of Backyard Cottages in Seattle with the Design Challenge for Sustainable Back Yard Cottages.
Now that backyard cottages are zoned citywide, they’re beginning to pop up all over the place, and in a plethora of delightful flavors. While they will inherently be as unique as the folks designing and building them, one very prominent theme is ‘going green’.
